Friday 4 June 1915, New Romney

Snatching a few moments off this evening I biked down to the Littlestone sands. An interesting party of waders rewarded me – two knots in rusty-red breeding plumage. a turnstone and a dunlin. Ringed and Kentish plovers were also feeding on the flats; the latter appeared very light coloured with the sun shining on them.
